Business Operations Manager
In her role as the business operations manager for the Center, Sarah prides herself on creating new systems to make workflows more manageable and organized for the team. She is responsible for the supervision of the Center’s core business processes, including the preparation and monitoring of its annual budget. In addition, Sarah oversees internal communications and serves as liaison to the Center’s Advisory Council. She also supervises the annual Harvard Business School-Accion Program on Strategic Leadership in Inclusive Finance.
Sarah has experience in operations management, budgeting, strategic planning, marketing, database administration and executive communications. She also currently serves as a steering committee member for the Washington DC Chapter of Women Advancing Microfinance. Prior to joining Accion, Sarah was as an account executive for a technology company, where she managed relationships to drive customer retention and cultivate new business in the DC metro area. Sarah has lived and worked abroad in Quito, Ecuador and Ahmedabad, India, and holds a bachelor’s in business administration from Boston University and a master’s in sustainable development from the SIT Graduate Institute.
