By Cuba Study Group - Published: 2011
This paper provides steps that can be taken by public and private organizations and governments of both Cuba and the US to improve current conditions of micro and small businesses. This analysis outlines the role that these businesses, as well as self-employers, can play in Cuba’s economy. It provides examples and lessons from other countries that have made reforms to promote small business. The report also lays out ways that individuals and NGOs can support entrepreneurship and self-employment, and methods for the U.S. government to ensure it is not hindering the development of small business in Cuba.
