As part of the Center for Financial Inclusion’s Financial Inclusion 2020 campaign, this report reviews major demographic changes occurring in the developing world and examines their implications for financial inclusion. The report describes the most important demographic trends, examines the implications for financial inclusion, and summarizes the implications for national financial inclusion policy and service providers. The report finishes by examining three countries—South Africa, Mexico, and Nigeria—to reveal significantly different financial inclusion priorities in each.
